– Senior Reporter, Tampa Bay Business Journal May 24, 2018, 12:29pm EDT Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. (Nasdaq: SFM) continues to grow its Florida footprint with another store in the Tampa suburbs. The Phoenix-based specialty grocer said Thursday that it is planning a store in Riverview, in the Summerfield Crossing Shopping Center at U.S. 301 and Big Bend Road. Sprouts did not specify where it would open in that shopping center or provide a construction timeframe. A typical Sprouts market is around 30,000 square feet. Five Sprouts stores are open in Florida — South Tampa, Carrollwood, Palm Harbor, Valrico and Sarasota. Other stores have been announced in Clearwater and Trinity. Outside of the Tampa Bay area, stores are planned in Winter Park, Oviedo, Deerfield Beach and Wellington. The Carrollwood store was the first to open in Florida in February 2017. Sprouts focuses on organic, natural and specialty foods. Its new stores have grab-and-go selections as well as delis that prepare made-to-order sandwiches. – Senior Reporter, Tampa Bay Business Journal May 24, 2018, 12:29pm EDT Related Content
